The Traditional Track is for students who are passionate to study music of incredible composers, including Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Chopin, Debussy, Ravel. Repertoire primarily focuses on classical works; however, other musical styles are included to expand the student’s knowledge of music. The curriculum will continue to refine skills in the areas of technique, music theory, aural training, keyboard skills, listening skills, music history and sight-playing. The development of these areas will provide the technique and knowledge necessary to meet the demands of the music.
Students are required to participate in FSMTA District VI Student Day, Musicthon, Studio Recitals, and Master Classes. This track is for the serious musician, who is committed to practicing 60 to 90 minutes a day and is prepared with all necessary materials at each lesson. A one hour lesson is required in order to address all areas of study.
